SHELLY, Marketing & Sales Consultant

CoVision Consulting was founded by Shelly. In 2017, Shelly left her nationally recognized career leading Sales and Marketing teams for start-up Continuing Care Retirement Communities to found CoVision Consulting. Shelly now shares her marketing experience and skills, along with her passion for cohousing, with cohousing groups. Her driving force is the belief that we live better together in community and she wakes up every morning thinking of ways to bring more people into cohousing.

Shelly is an affiliate of Cohousing Solutions and she and her husband are members of Skagit Commons, a cohousing community in Anacortes, WA. 

JACK, Architect and Partner at bwdarchitects

Jack Wilbern, RA, is a 1982 Cal Poly SLO Architecture School graduate, where he was a classmate with Chuck Durrett. He is the founding architect/partner with bwdarchitects (1989 – today).  The firm features a client and community based, collaborative design process. He designed & developed developed Blueberry Hill Cohousing and The Railroad Cottages Community. He founded the Cohousing Collaborative with Ann Zabaldo: 2006-2012. He has been an active resident of Blueberry Hill Cohousing for 22 years. He is a Member of the Urban Land Institute, holds an NCARB national certification and is currently licensed as an architect in twelve states.  Jack brings design, facilitation, development and community life skills to the project.

PATRICIA, Owner's Rep, Residential Construction

Patricia Tetro is a 1982 University of Virginia Architecture School graduate. She has 30+ years of Owners agent / construction / development in both residential and mixed use high rise projects. She has been a resident of Blueberry Hill Cohousing for 7 years. Patricia brings large scale development, construction management and owner representation skills to the project. She and Jack  have served on multiple nonprofit boards and commissions over the years and are huge believers in, and proponents of, the power and benefit of strong communities.

KATHRYN (KATIE), CoHousing Solutions, President

Katie brings the depth and diversity of her 35 years of experience as a developer, architect, and cohousing resident to benefit her clients. Coauthor of Cohousing: A Contemporary Approach to Housing Ourselves, the book that introduced cohousing to North America, and more recently, Creating Cohousing: Building Sustainable Communities, Katie co-founded McCamant & Durrett Architects/The CoHousing Company with Charles Durrett. More recently, she started CoHousing Solutions as a development consulting firm to share best practices and systems for successful collaborative development. She works with urban, suburban and rural communities all across North America, helping them define and implement their development strategy and build the professional team they need. She also founded the 500 Communities Program to train other professionals to work in this realm. She lived for 12 years at Doyle Street Cohousing in the San Francisco Bay Area, and now lives at Nevada City Cohousing in the Sierra Foothills.
